On 24th April 3º ESO class 3S went to London in a great trip.

The Easyjet departure was from Oporto airport to Gawick near London, it took us 2 hours and a half. From there we took a train to tyhe hotel which was in Goodge Street near all the famous places ( Buckingham palace, Houses of Parliament, King’s Cross..). WE also visited museums, parks, streets… And when the day finished at night, we were always really tired. On tyhe way back we took a train to Gatwick airport to Oporto, from there we went home by bus.

What did you like most? The Shard ( It was very high), The Houses of Parliament and the free time I had with my friends.

What did you like least? NOTHING

What did you learn ? A lot of things in the museums and a little more English.

I would return again to London because it is a beautiful city and it was Great!

From 23rd  to 27th April, students from 3S went on a trip to London. It was a long trip as we flew from Oporto and we stayed there for 5 days.

Day 1. We took the coach to Oporto , it took us 3 hours, but it was fun as we were talking and watching the scenery. Then we took the plane to Gatwick airport, it took us 2 hours, upon arrival we took the shuttle to get to Terminal South and get the train to London Victoria. I noticed that the people there walked very fast as it was the rush hour and we had to hurry not to miss the tube.In my opinion everything was different: People hurried everywhere and things were not the same. WE stopped at Goodge Street to leave the bags at the Ridgemount Hotel, which was pretty good and the service not bad. Next, we went the the banks of the river Thames and saw the famous Big Ben. Later we went to have fun at Leicester square, where we were so happy that at the end of the day we ended up there. We bought some souvenirs and had dinner and it was one of our favourite parts of the day.

Day 2. In the morning we visited the British Museum and we were lucky to see the temporary exhibition abou Pompeii, which I liked very much. In the afternoon we visited Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament, thenn we headed to the London Eye. Before going for a ride, we watched the special effect 4D exhibition whivh I enjoyed a lot. Eventually, we got onto a capsule af the London Eye and we were alone in it.All of us in one capsule! As i went really high we could see much of London and I really enjoyed it. Then, we walked along the River banks and crossed the Millennium bridge to visit St Paul’s Cathedral.

Day 3. In the morning we got the tube to The Natural History Museum. It is amazing, specially the huge dinosaurs skelentons we saw there and I think my friends liked them too. In the afternoon, we visited harrods, a very large store with a lot of luxury goods, wher many rich people buy there. Next, we went walking the see Buckinham Palace and the guards at the main entrance, however, we didn’t see the queen. Later, we went to see the Lion King Musical. It was impressive and specially the super effects on the stage. The actors played very well, it was worth watiching it.

Day 4. We visited the shop which is inside the Sherlock Holmes Museum full with items related to Sherlock Holmes. Then , we went to Trafalgar Square where there is a high pilar with Nelson the Admiral and surrounded by huge bronce lions. We entered the National gallery to see the bautifullly painted pictures which I consider to be works of art. we had free afternoon to go shopping.

Day 5. We made the trip back to Santiago.

What I liked most? Everything I did I liked it a lot.But I think the London Eye was our top visit, because we could see all London from above.

The least I lked: Nothing! Everything was great!

What I learned: I learnt many things, for example how big a sequoia can be, it can measure up to 100 m.!

This is a trip I encourage you to take part in. Everything goes well and you discover many things and it is an unforgettable experience.
