Anjalyne made our first school exchange with Águeda Villaverde de 4ºS. She was with us from 2nd Feb to 4th April. 2014. Here it is what she wrote about her experience at Eduardo Pondal school.
I had a wonderful time inSantiago, and eventhough it was nerve racking at first I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world. The thing that I liked most about my trip was the people I met. I could not have asked for anybetter friends, and the amount of Spanish that I learnt here would take me a whole year to learn at school in Canada. One thing that I loved about Santiago was the amazing culture and history, specially of the old buildings.
The thing that surprised me most about Santiago was definitely the school. I say that because it is a lot more difficult than what I amm used to studying in Canada. With that said, I think studying here in Spain has definitely opened my eyes as to what I need to prepare for in the future. One other things that took me a while to get used to was the way the day is layed out. When I say that I mean, that when they eat meals and the time they go to sleep was almost a complete change from the daily layout of Canada.
Although it was hard to be away from home for 9 weeks, considering all the memories I have made, the friends that i have made, and the things that I have learned I would never turn up the oportunity to do it all over again. I can’t wait to come as soon as I possibly can.
